What is B-Line Paratransit?
B-Line Paratransit (B-Line) is a shared public transportation service for individuals with disabilities who are prevented from using regular, accessible fixed-route services.
B-Line offers origin-to-destination transportation for riders who meet eligibility criteria under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines.
Individuals with disabilities who are not prevented from using fixed-route bus services may not qualify for B-Line service.
How Does B-Line Work?
Once deemed eligible, B-Line passengers can schedule trips 1 to 3 days in advance. In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), B-Line service is comparable to CCRTA’s fixed-route service.
How Do I Apply for B-Line?
Individuals with disabilities that are prevented from using CCRTA’s fixed-route service must submit a B-Line application (requires a licensed healthcare provider's signature) and participate in an in-person interview and assessment.
After completing the assessment, applicants receive presumptive eligibility and will be notified of their final eligibility status within 21 days.
B-Line Fare & Trip Scheduling
B-Line fare is $1.25 per trip (each way). There are no reduced fare options for B-Line. For questions on scheduling, trip modifications, or cancellations, please call:361-289-5881

Making A Reservation
When scheduling a B-Line trip, please include the following information:
- Your name
- ID number
- Trip date
- Trip destination
- Requested pickup time
- Requested return time
- Mobility device(s) used
It is recommended to schedule a pickup time 1.5 – 2 hours prior to an appointment, depending on the distance between the pickup and drop off locations.
There is a 30-minute window for pickup for all rides.
Trips can be scheduled the day before, though pickup or drop off times may need to be adjusted (+/- an hour) based on availability.
B-Line Service Schedule
- Monday – Saturday: 5:00 AM – 11:00 PM
- Sunday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Scheduling Hours
- Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Sunday: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
No-Show and Late Cancellation Policy
The No-Show and Late Cancellation Policy is intended to preserve service quality for all B-Line passengers. Excessive no-shows/late cancellations within the rider’s control negatively impact on-time performance and service quality for other passengers.Rides must be cancelled at least one hour before the scheduled pickup time.
Bus Operators will wait up to five (5) minutes at the pickup location for a passenger to board. Not cancelling in advance or boarding within the five (5) minute pickup window could result in service suspension.
