CCRTA is proud to celebrate Disability Pride Month with our community. This commemoration recognizes the passing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) that took place 34 years ago.

Red Represents Physical Disabilities

This includes, but is not limited to:

BLUE

Blue Represents Emotional and Psychiatric Disabilities

This includes, but is not limited to:

-Anxiety

GREEN

Green Represents Sensory Disabilities

Gold Represents Neurodiversity

The Charcoal background represents the victims of violence and abuse against persons with disabilities.

CCRTA & Accessibility

  • Americans with Disabilities Act

    The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) was signed on July 26, 1990. The law prohibits discrimination based on disability.

    CCRTA’s follows the Federal Transit Administration’s (FTA) mission of quality, nondiscriminatory transportation.

    Through our dedicated efforts, we strive to provide equal opportunity and access for persons with disabilities.

  • CCRTA's Accessibility Efforts

    CCRTA works to provide an accessible experience for riders and community partners throughout the transportation system:

    • All buses and facilities are ADA compliant
    • 61% of all bus stops are ADA-compliant
      • CCRTA’s goal is to have 100% ADA compliance where the right-of-way is available
    • RTA Committee on Accessible Transportation (RCAT) meets monthly and provides guidance and insight to the CCRTA and the community on transportation disadvantaged riders and services
      • RCAT Committee Members act as ambassadors on transportation ridership issues
