John Longoria - City of Corpus Christi Appointee
John Longoria
Mr. Longoria has served the Corpus Christi Regional Transportation Authority’s Board of Directors since his city council appointment in 2005. Mr. Longoria is also a member of the Corpus Christi Independent School District board of trustees and served as a member of the Corpus Christi City Council from 1995 to 2003. He has extensive experience with municipal government and a long list of community involvement. He is a former Del Mar College Foundation Trustee and Board Member of Big Brother Big Sister Program. He was a member of Leadership Corpus Christi Class XX and has served on several steering committees with the Corpus Christi Leadership program and serves as a basketball coach for his sons teams in the Upward basketball program and little league. He was recognized for his leadership role by the Small Business Administration with the Minority Advocate of the Year Award for Corpus Christi and the Rio Grande Valley in 2003. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Texas A&M University at College Station and his Master of Business Administration from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas. He is the principle in the John Longoria and Associates firm that serves South Texas clients with public projects and public policy issues. John and his wife Sonia, have 3 boys who attend public schools in Corpus Christi.
