Crystal Lyons
Ms. Lyons was appointed by the Corpus Christi City Council to the RTA Board of Directors in July 2004. She was elected for her first term as Board Chairman in October 2007 and re-elected in October 2009. She has been an active community volunteer in Corpus Christi and has served in varying leadership capacities such as the Chairman of the Human Relations Commission, Chairman of the Corpus Christi Committee on Persons with Disabilities and a past President of the Corpus Christi League of Women Voters. She is currently serving as Vice Chairman of the Corpus Christi Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO); President of the state-wide Coalition of Texans with Disabilities; and is the first transit system board member to hold a position on the Southwest Transit Association Board. She also serves on the board of American Public Transportation Association (APTA) and is Vice-chairman of APTA Transit Board Members Committee. Ms. Lyons is also a graduate of Leadership Texas.
